Bebhinn Eilish is an Irish feminist artist and designer, inspired by the female form, body hair, taboo subjects, and influences like Kabuki and Celtic Folklore. Storytelling, particularly the re/telling of the female story is an important aspect to her work.
I draw from heritage, fables, mythology and herstory through which I interrogate the power of women, their internal and external struggles.
My art process serves as a conduit through which universal taboos around the female and the female body can be played with.Â
