Portuguese photographer Tatiana Saavedra creates work which explores a symbiotic relationship between photography and poetry. This series is a visual poem which delicately alludes to the extent of Tatiana’s oneiric universe, representing peace and an innate desire for freedom.

Bluebird, the bittersweet poem by Charles Bukowski was the inspiration for this photographic series, where a response to melancholy is the thread that guides it. I wanted to give a voice to this commotion, represented through the birds, from a feminine perspective that refers to an almost childlike, seminal nostalgia as if these two sides, portrayed in the poem and in the images, could be heard.
