Celeste Ortiz is a chilean photographer dedicated mostly to self portraiture, exploring the concepts of intimacy, body, introspection, femininity and nature. She holds a diploma in digital photography, but later chose 35mm and instant film as her tools of creation. Celeste’s work has been exhibited, screened and published internationally.
I have been doing selfportraits since I first held a camera, using my own body and space, my room, to create images, with 35mm film and instant photography as my tools of choice. In the last years I been trying to expand my subjects, but without going too far from what I am. In this way, looking at what surrounds me, I found great interest in nature.
