Emily Elizabeth Thomas is an indie writer/director working in New York City.
Lola: Girl Got a Gun – is a narrative short film which takes on the perils of gun violence in the South and domestic abuse, all through the eyes of a cowgirl and glitter loving 9 year old girl.
“Lola was created by 5 female department heads and two very feminist male department heads (writer/director, producer, production designer, director of photography and editor, sound), shot on location on a secluded farm in East Texas, in only 3 days, and required more grit and glory than I’ve ever seen from all women involved! Women in film baby!“
