Shahar Lev aka Fleur and Detail, is a fashion photographer from Israel, now based in Berlin. The series “Sundried” was shot with an expired 35mm film roll.
“I’m an explorer. Obsessed with visual conflicts, when opposites are put together. I’m inspired by the pale “wrong colours”. It reminds me of “Fata Morgana”, a phenomenon causing people walking in the desert seeing things that aren’t there, because their brain is too tired and their bodies are drained from the heat. I am drawn to the mystery of shadows and plants, particularly those in my childhood backyard. The model is my younger sister Zoe; she has been my partner in crime regarding making my visions come to life, since we were kids.”
