“Her” is a photography project by Virginie Martinez Serrano that aims to unite women worldwide, giving them a space to listen, share, and embrace. Through capturing the vulnerability and essence of each participant, it fosters a profound sense of unity, acceptance, connection, growth, and sisterhood.
A woman told me a few months ago, all women carry the traumas of our ancestors, we pass them from generation to generation and we were always separated. Creating spaces where women can see themselves as mirrors of each other, embrace and love each other helps to undo this trauma, they heal and perhaps this is my purpose through photography: Emphasizing the importance of solidarity and support among women as they navigate the legacy of historical injustices and strive for empowerment, sharing stories and love.
