HIDDEN LOVES

This photography series by Victoria Vinas captures the intimacy of two young women at the end of the 19th century, a time of unspoken emotions and hidden loves. Set in the woods and by the lake, the images depict their tender relationship, shielded from society’s gaze but embraced by nature. The trees offer a protective cocoon, while the lake reflects emotions they cannot express openly. Through this series, Vinas seeks to re-anchor these forbidden loves in history, portraying them as photographic tableaux that represent love kept in the shadows.
