Jade Marchandeau is a French-Israeli video artist and illustrator. She studied her first degree in Toulouse’s Fine Arts (ISDAT, France) and her MFA at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (Israel-Palestine). She is currently living and working in Tel Aviv. Her main source of inspiration is her daily life, translated graphically into relatable allegories of what it is to be a young woman in 2021.
My work explores how to experience the transition between girlhood and womanhood while living in a society at the edge of implosion, discovering what feminism really means and peeling off (slowly and painfully, but with humor !) years of patriarcal doctrine.
