Lidia Lidia believes passionately in the feminist statement that ‘the personal is political’ and so she is exploring the wider social and political contexts of her own past trauma.
Using strong and sometimes disturbing images in combination with extensive research Lidia highlights the societal frameworks that shape the lived reality of many women and girls. Her work is a combination of installation, video, photography, performance and activism.
