As we get off the S-Bahn at Olympiastadion for LOLLAPALOOZA 2019, we leave our worries behind and escape into a world of music, education, colors, and of course, a big chunk of girl power!
We have now seen it with our own eyes and you cannot deny that Billie Eilish is not only the next big thing anymore, she is THE big thing of the moment, and gives us the badass girl power vibes we have been longing for in popular music. Her neon-hooded lookalikes and colourful hair styles dominated the crowd at her mind-blowing set. Some of her biggest fans waited for hours to be first row and sing their hearts out. We stan.
From one killer female performance to the next (Nura, Ilira, Rita Ora, Sigrid, Allie X, Mia Morgan, our new favorite LARI LUKE, to name a few… and duh, Princess Nokia – have you seen her vogueing background dancers?) mosh-pitting madness with Marteria & Caspar, crowdsurfing races with Kraftklub, and beat and booty drops at the Perry Stage, the line-up made us discover great new artists and re-discover old favorites. LOLLA, WE LIKE IT LOUD!
Equipped with amazing style inspiration among the
festival-goers and important panel talks about body positivity at
Fashionpalooza- Lollapalooza gave us the whole package.
At „Der Grüne
Kiez“, non-profit organisations talked about topics very dear to us.
Workshops and stands educated Paloozians about equality (Take A Stand), climate change (Fridays for Future) and AIDS (Jugend gegen Aids). If you are down to help and get involved – they are always looking for volunteers to join their adventures for a good cause.
