Marina Mónaco is a 23-year-old photographer, director of photography and experimental director from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She studied Cinematography and started photography professionally at age 15, working for major brands like Adidas, Reebok, Lollapalooza, etc. Her personal work is mainly based on the documentation of youth from a nostalgic point of view, opting for analog formats such as film, Vhs and super 8.
Marina shot this series last summer with her friends while they stayed in a camp in the countryside of Buenos Aires for a week, without communication and people around them.
These are really special memories with my friends. We didn’t have any phone signal for a week. We felt so free. We didn’t need anything else. It was magical.
