Nikki Gal is a 24 year old mental health advocate as well as digital artist. Throughout both her mental health advocacy work as well as her artistry, she has found it very important to combine both concepts into one. The pieces she creates are representations of the processes and emotions faced by girls and women in their everyday lives regarding their mental health.
Relating to one another is what means something to me. When you see someone that reminds you of yourself, it becomes a full circle moment. We are in this together. Equality and understanding upon the topic of mental health is something I want to see more of a focus on, as well as the power of creativity.
