Oncobeauty, founded by Valentina in December 2020, tells the poignant story of her battle with breast cancer – captured by photographer Barbara Cannizzaro. Diagnosed in January 2019, Valentina transformed adversity into a narrative of courage, resilience, and inner beauty. The project captures pivotal moments in her journey, unfolding in her bedroom—a sanctuary adorned with comforting objects.
Beyond the glitz of her previous life, Oncobeauty stands as a beacon of hope and patience. In three years, Valentina navigated surgeries and treatments, creating a universal narrative of finding beauty amid adversity. It’s a story to be shared, nurtured with blood, tears, and laughter until the protagonist bursts into bloom.
