Libby Cooper is a nude and fashion photographer, based in London whose work aims to break taboos around nudity, and help people accept themselves and their body. “Our Cycle” explores the topic of menstruation. The series was inspired by Aditi Gupta‘s talk about her journey in breaking the taboo surrounding periods, the experiences of shame and the effects that myths and lack of education surrounding menstruation can have.
I grew up feeling as though I needed to hide my period from others and that it was something to be ashamed of. I hope this project helps break that taboo and helps others understand that it is not a topic to fear!
