Autumn Palen is a recent graduate from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where she obtained a B.F.A. in Film & TV Production. She has completed artistic residencies in the realm of photography and videography through Getaway Cabins in Boston, De Licerias 18 in Porto, and Maajaam in southern Estonia. Autumn has also contributed 8mm experimental film to LA’s Sovo// Magazine, photography for The Cardiff Review, and short narrative works for Penny Thoughts, Dipsea and Scribd. She is currently based in Los Angeles, where she writes and produces independent short films.
This photoshoot was conducted in my bedroom with one of my roommates. In addition to her radiant energy and beauty, she provided the wardrobe, makeup, and sparkling backdrop. Pre-confinement, we were both out of the house more often than we were home, mainly returning to our apartment to sleep. Being together in the same space since mid-March has allowed us to kind of ‘meet’ each other, to talk and connect and collaborate, to join our artistic forces.
