“This was a series of self-portrait images created to show global female issues that exist around the world today. The two issues shown are lack of equal pay and female education. The images aim to show an oppressed individual; the character is unidentified and stays hidden in the image to show that these issues affect all females across the world rather than just a certain type of female.“
