Saskia Martindale is a set designer and art director based in London. ‘SENTO‘, ‘Bath House’ in Japanese, is a video project that describes how to approach it correctly.
“3 years ago I went to Japan to study for 5 months, and whilst I was there I discovered Bath Houses. 3 years down the line and still obsessed. I wanted to make a video depicting the routine that women (and men, separately) follow, and try and display the normality and openness I felt of something that would be so foreign here in the UK for example.”
