Valeria Sigal is a photographer based in Buenos Aires. Following the birth of her daughter, she found the urge to quit her job in a bank, in order to pursue her passion for photography. Playing with light and shadow, Valeria strives to portray the greatest variety and diversity of people, generating a break with the hegemonic parameters of beauty, health and gender. Her photography breaks free from the constraints of societal norms, offering a refreshing perspective on the subjects she portrays.
The people I portray mostly correspond to a generation I am immersed in, that is pushing for diversity.
